Mindful meditation for beginners

Four-week course - £95

Course overview

This introductory mindfulness course is designed to fit into busy schedules, focussing on teaching practical, everyday tools and techniques, with a focus on breath and the body in developing aware of our experiences in the present moment.

What you can expect

Over four weeks, you will be gently introduced to:

  • Formal and informal everyday mindfulness meditation practices.
  • Ways in which mindfulness can help calm anxiety and stress.
  • Using mindfulness to develop more meaningful connections and relationships.
  • Developing practical activities to help you be at your best.

Programme structure

  • Each week includes a mix of guided meditations, group discussions, and reflections on mindfulness practice.
  • Ongoing support is available from your tutor and administrators, who are around to deal with any urgent questions that may come up.
  • You will also be sent audio files with guided meditations for home practice, including practices from the gold-standard, 8-week MBSR course. However, as it is a more condensed learning experience, attending all the sessions and committing to undertake the home practice is important.
