Eight Week Course

Eight-week MBSR course - £250

Course Overview

The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programme is an internationally recognised mindfulness course, designed to help manage stress, enhance well-being, and build inner calm through the structured, evidence-based practice of mindfulness. This course is ideal for anyone seeking personal and professional resilience in a fast-paced world.


What you can expect

Over eight, two-hour weekly online sessions, you will be gently introduced to:

  • Formal and informal everyday mindfulness meditation practices
  • An understanding of how our brain works, and ways in which mindfulness can help calm anxiety and stress
  • Using mindfulness to develop more meaningful connections and relationships.
  • Developing practical tools to help you thrive, be at your best, and build personal resilience.


Programme structure 

  • Each week includes a mix of guided meditations, exploring what mindfulness - relating it to everyday experiences, group discussions, along with around 20 – 30 minutes of daily home practice.
  • You will be sent an electronic course workbook which follows the outline of the programme, with additional materials included for each week.
  • You will also be given online audio files with guided meditations for home practice.
  • Ongoing support from your tutor and administrators, who are around to deal with any urgent questions that come up. 

 
 

Further course information:

  • This course will be held live on Zoom. Both the tutor and participants will be live and visible throughout.
  • You will need a PC, laptop or tablet that is able to access Zoom, with a      camera and microphone, a good internet connection, and a private space where you will not be interrupted.
  • This course is not offered as a treatment for any specific psychological or physical      conditions. The course may not be suitable for people experiencing severe difficulties. For more information please see our Frequently Asked Questions or email us via info@practical-mindfulness.org.
  • In advance, you will be invited to complete a personal history questionnaire. If your answers and      any subsequent conversations suggest that the course isn't suitable for you at this time, a full refund will be given.
  • Please contact us (admin@practical-mindfulness.org) if you'd like to test out your Zoom links, camera and audio beforehand.

     

Certificate

On completion of the 8-week programme, you’ll receive a Certificate of Completion.
